ENVIRONMENTAL
PLANNER/LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT
Anchor QEA, an environmental science and engineering consulting
firm, is seeking a full-time MID- TO SENIOR‑LEVEL
ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNER/LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT in its Mission
Viejo, California or San Francisco, California office.
Candidates will have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience
preparing CEQA and NEPA documentation for public or private
institutions. Additional experience including, but not limited
to, water quality permits, Section 404 permits, California
Coastal Act regulations, Streambed Alteration Agreements, and/or
Endangered Species Act requirements is desired. Strong
experience with stream, wetland, and shoreline restoration
and/or mitigation is also desired. Candidates will have
experience preparing conceptual, schematic, and construction
drawings; written project reports; construction specifications;
presentations; and construction cost estimates as well as
experience managing colleagues, budgets, and clients.
Candidates will have a BLA or MLA degree, high-quality hand
and/or digital rendering ability, AutoCAD proficiency, and
excellent written and verbal communication skills. Landscape
architect registration in California or other state is preferred
but not required.
Responsibilities for the position also include assisting with
stream and wetland delineations, ratings, and functional
assessments; conducting wetland mitigation monitoring and
preparing subsequent monitoring reports; conducting construction
site inspections related to environmental permit compliance; and
assisting with fish, wildlife, and botanical field surveys.
Successful candidates will have extensive knowledge of
California plant communities/species and will be able to work
long hours outdoors in inclement weather. This position may
also require some travel.
