The Monterey
Conference Committee, on behalf of the Association of Environmental
Professionals (AEP), invites your participation in the 2003 AEP State
Conference to be held at the Doubletree Resort in the seaside community of
Monterey from March 30 through April 1, 2003. AEP is dedicated to the
enhancement, maintenance and protection of California's natural and human
environment. AEP consists of over 1000 corporate and individual members
committed to improving the expertise of public and private professionals
in the development and implementation of laws, policies and procedures
related to environmental analysis, resource management, and land use
planning. The California Chapter of the National Association of
Environmental Professionals (CalNAEP) will host a pre-conference workshop
on the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), also at the Doubletree on
Saturday March 29. The AEP Conference will begin on Sunday with a series
of onsite and optional mobile workshops and feature an opening strolling
dinner reception at the renowned Monterey Bay Aquarium. The AEP Awards
Luncheon will be held Tuesday, April 1.
Last year's AEP
conference attracted over 250 participants from a variety of disciplines
in the public and private sectors. This year AEP is also outreaching to
include builders, developers, attorneys, lenders, farmers, land trusts,
and public infrastructure professionals.
Your
2003 AEP
conference registration includes the Aquarium reception, ESA/HCP workshop,
inspirational keynote speakers, panel sessions, full AEP membership
meeting, and will conclude with the Awards Luncheon and plenary 2003
Legislative Update. Sunday mobile workshops are available at additional
cost.
Bring your family
and enjoy an extended week-end in Old Monterey and the beautiful Monterey
Peninsula. Activities include enjoying the
Monterey Bay Aquarium reception, golf, cycling, kayaking, and enjoying the
expansive views of Monterey Bay from our recreation trail. Spectacular Big
Sur, Point Lobos and our regional parks are all close by.
